FIFA World Cup 2022: BBC Commentators Panel Confirmed!

Currently, the BBC has confirmed the names of several female commentators for FIFA World Cup 2022. These women will be the first female commentators to feature on the FIFA franchise. Alex Scott, the BBC Sport host since last month, will also be on the commentary panel. She was a former footballer and has won six Premier League titles, seven FA Cups and the Champions League in 2007.

There will be a total of 32 teams competing in the 2022 World Cup. These will take place in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, making it the first winter World Cup and the first in the Middle East. Many of the world’s top players may not be available, however, due to commitments with their respective clubs. In addition, many of the leading names in European football are not expected to be involved in the tournament due to commitments.

The BBC have also announced that Garth Crooks will no longer be hosting Match of the Day this season. Crooks, who joined the BBC in 1992, has announced plans to retire from punditry. In addition, Gary Lineker will be the host of Match of the Day from the 2022/23 season. Lineker has been hosting the show since 1999.

Most of the matches will be aired on BBC One and BBC Two, with some broadcasts available on BBC iPlayer.

Alan Darke began his career on BBC Radio more than 40 years ago, with the “Sports Report” show on Saturdays. He remained with the BBC for a decade, earning the admiration of his viewers and listeners. In 1992, he started calling matches for Sky Sports.
