First of all, Qatar is the first host country whose men’s national team has never participated in the FIFA World Cup in the past. Qatar has announced eight hosting venues for the FIFA World Cup 2022. These eight stadiums are within 100 kms radius making the 2022 world cup the most compact world cup in history. 

All the stadiums have a good capacity to occupy the spectators. The stadiums range from minimum capacity of 40,000 to maximum capacity of 80,000 fans inside the stadium. 

The Iconic stadium of Lusail with the highest capacity of gathering 80,000 fans is the largest stadium at the FIFA World Cup 2022. The Iconic stadium is located in the city of Lusail in the Municipality of Al Daayen.

The stadium is well equipped with new technologies and infrastructure. The stadium is equipped with solar panels and roof systems which can be opened or closed based on the temperature. Qatar is known for it’s heatwave and so the stadium also has a cooling system which can withstand the high temperature. 

Which matches will Lusail Stadium host?
