The fourth day of the World Cup competition will feature 4 more than entertaining matches.
The Qatar 2022 World Cup kicked off with Ecuador’s 2-0 win over hosts Qatar at the Al Bayt Stadium on Sunday, November 20, thanks to a brace from captain Enner Valencia. The soccer world’s attention is now fully focused on what happens until Sunday, December 18 at the Lusail Stadium, which will host the tournament’s grand finale.
The World Cup action continued on Monday with what has so far been the biggest drubbing of the tournament when England beat Iran 6-2 at the Khalifa International Stadium. Also on Monday, the first day of Group A was completed with a 2-0 win for the Netherlands over Senegal. In addition, the United States and Wales played to a 1-1 draw in Group B.
On Tuesday it was the turn of Groups C and D. Saudi Arabia caused one of the great surprises of the World Cup by coming from behind against Argentina and defeating Lionel Messi’s team by 2-1. In the same zone, Mexico and Poland played to a goalless draw. The same result was the result of the opening match of Group D between Denmark and Tunisia, while in the same zone, France and Australia closed the day’s activity.
Qatar 2022: Matches on Wednesday, 23 November
The World Cup action will continue on Wednesday, November 23 with four more matches. First up, Croatia and Morocco will meet at the Al Bayt Stadium in Group F. Next, Germany and Japan will open Group E at the Khalifa International Stadium. In the same zone, Spain and Costa Rica will play at the Al Thumama Stadium, while Belgium and Canada will meet at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.
